SP AusNet's 2010 Apprentice and Trainees of the Year were announced in June 2010.
Managing Director Nino Ficca was on hand to present the awards and first in to congratulate the star recruits on their outstanding achievements. Nominated on the basis of academic achievements as well as references from their mentors, supervisors and work crews, the stand-out award recipients were selected from more than 110 apprentices, trainees and graduates being trained across the business.
Congratulations to the following apprentices and trainees:
- First Year Apprentice of the Year - Matthew Commons, Electrical Fitter, Rowville
- Second Year Apprentice of the Year - Mark Slate, Lineworker, Warragul
- Third Year Apprentice of the Year - Nathan Smith, Lineworker, Bairnsdale
- Fourth Year Apprentice of the Year - Ross Kelly, Lineworker, Hazelwood
- Trainee of the Year – 1st and 2nd Year - John Read, Trainee Tester, Hazelwood
- Trainee of the Year – 3rd and 4th Year - Aaron Mericka, Trainee Surveyor, Lilydale
The winners collected a trophy as well as a brand new laptop to assist them in their ongoing learning and development.
