Access Arrangements
SP AusNet's Access Arrangement describes the terms and conditions for obtaining access to our network. Generally, it is electricity retailers and generators who apply to gain access to the network so that they can transport electricity to customers. These arrangements are available for viewing below:
Planning Reports
These reports will give you a greater understanding of the complex Victorian electricity-planning environment.
Transmission Connection Planning Report (PDF 3.0MB) - This report is produced jointly by the Victorian electricity distribution businesses who are responsible for planning and directing the augmentation of the facilities that connect their distribution systems to the shared transmission network. Additional to the distribution businesses, the Victorian Energy Network Corporation (VENCorp) is responsible for planning and directing the augmentation of the shared transmission network. This joint Report has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Distribution Licences, the Victorian Distribution Code and the National Electricity Rules.
Distribution System Planning Report (PDF 1.1MB) - This report includes information on the historical and forecast demand from, and capacity of, each zone substation, an assessment of the magnitude, probability and impact of loss of load for each subtransmission line and zone substation, SP AusNet's planning standards, a description of feasible options to meet forecast demand including opportunities for embedded generation and demand management, the preferred option for meeting forecast demand and description including estimated costs where identified and the availability of contributions from SP AusNet to embedded generators or customers to reduce forecast demand and defer or avoid augmentation of the distribution system.
