  • An electricity transmission network – carrying electricity from power stations to electricity distributors across all of Victoria via 12,800 high voltage towers and approximately 6,500 kilometres of transmission lines.
  • An electricity distribution network – carrying electricity from the high voltage transmission grid to approximately 620,000 customers across eastern Victoria. This network spans 46,000 kilometres across an area of 80,000 square kilometres.

Electricity customer charter

At SP AusNet, we are committed to ensuring that you, as an electricity distribution customer, are provided with the best possible service and access to information about the supply of electricity to your home or business.

Our Customer Charter (PDF 86.6KB) is part of our commitment to you – please take the time to read it carefully. The charter is designed to explain, in clear and simple terms, our relationship with you, including who we are, what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

We hope that the Electricity Distribution Customer Charter will answer any questions you may have about SP AusNet, your electricity supply, its connection and use. This charter should be read in conjunction with the Customer Charter provided to you by your electricity retailer.
