Electricity Distribution:

Electricity Distribution Businesses like SP AusNet own and manage the electricity meters, poles, wires and equipment that deliver electricity to your home. We are responsible for installing the new smart meter at your premises. SP AusNet will install more than 680,000 meters during the four year smart meter roll out that is scheduled for completion at the end of 2013.

Electricity Retailers:

Your electricity retailer is the company that is responsible for billing you for your energy consumption. They send you your electricity bill and are responsible for offering tariffs.

Victorian Government:
